Translating to “One for the Gates,” Kapurkova represents our nod to the classic Bohemian Pilsner style. At the end of every night in the pubs throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia, a patron would stand with their full pint and shout “Kapurkova.” Upon finishing the pint, the patron sitting right next to him would order another round, stand, and shout “Kapurkova.” And so on. The moral of the story here is, choose wisely the size of the group you are in at the end of the night, as you may not make it to the gate.
