Reloaded and re-released, this old school IPA brings a massive hop arsenal to create citrus and pine on a chewy malt backbone. ———————— While the market is awash with sweet and juicy hazies, here at Holgate, our brewers love playing with new trends but also like forging our own path. So, we keep improving on the original Hopinator recipe - a rich, malty and bitter beast - and unleashing an uncompromising old school DIPA on an unsuspecting world! Although it has a slightly a leaner malt backbone than its 2008 forebear, Hopinator T2023 still features a deliciously chewy malt character from premium Vienna and Crystal malts. The hop profile blends the dank and resinous with light and citrus. Properly bitter, like an old school IPA should be, we add lashings of classic US 'C' hops in the whirlpool, to build a profile of candied orange, pithy grapefruit, sweet pineapple, pine and chewy toffee. The finish is dry, bitter and, as they say in the classics, dangerously moreish.
