Brewery Het Anker relaunches 'Whiskey Infused' on general demand. In 2015, this specialty beer was published as the first taste expression of the 'Gouden Carolus Indulgence' series. This is a series of limited beers that are released annually with varying content. This beer was immediately declared 'World's Best Spirit Flavored Beer' at the World Beer Awards.
Gouden Carolus Single Malt is a refined whiskey distilled from the malt batter of the beer Gouden Carolus Tripel. The successive ripening in classic Bourbon barrels followed by a further ripening in Het Anker barrels (wooden barrels processed by the barrel maker according to our own specifications) results in a refined whiskey with a full and balanced taste. The subtle fruit flavors are nicely supplemented with wood and vanilla touches.
