Double Barrel is the sum of many parts...
We combined a wild BA Saison and a wild BA Berliner Weisse, then aged the beer in some old Starward whisky barrels.
The mixture was matured for four months in the second barrels before being racked and bottled.
The base beer is a delectable combination of saison yeast esters and brettanomyces funk, with the whisky barrels adding depth and complexity.
There's a hint of whisky, but it's not overbearing.
